Nebraska Furniture Mart (a Berkshire Hathaway company) recently opened a two million square foot store in GrandScape, a fast growing mixed-use development located in The Colony, Texas. To better accommodate it’s customers, Nebraska Furniture Mart built a 2,000 space parking garage that is connected to the store. Of those parking spaces, 1,625 are monitored with the INDECT Single Space parking guidance system and was supplied by Parking Guidance Systems, LLC, of Dallas, TX.
The INDECT single space parking guidance system allows the garage customer to quickly and easily identify opens spaces by simply looking down an aisle. INDECT sensor activated lights, placed directly above each space will shine “Green” when the space is open, “Red” when the space is occupied, and “Blue” if the space is reserved for ADA/Handicapped drivers.
INDECT Wayfinding signs were also installed on the ramps going from level to level. These indicate the number of spaces that are open on each floor. Once on the floor, additional signs direct the driver to the open spaces.
