Parking Guidance Systems, LLC (PGS), a leading provider of advanced parking intelligence, guidance, and wayfinding solutions, today announced the appointment of Shannon Yates as Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
As PGS continues to expand its installed base and connected portfolio of hardware, software, and mobility solutions, the company is investing in senior technology leadership to ensure its platforms, data infrastructure, and digital products scale alongside its growing customer footprint.
PGS has built its reputation not only on precision-engineered technology, but also on a long-term commitment to innovation and operational excellence. Shannon’s appointment reinforces that commitment by adding proven enterprise technology leadership to guide the company’s next phase of platform and product development.
In this role, Shannon will lead PGS’s global technology strategy, overseeing enterprise architecture, digital product development, data and cloud infrastructure, and technology operations. Shannon will work closely with PGS’s engineering, product, and customer success teams to strengthen and scale the platforms underpinning the company’s hardware, software, and mobility solutions, including PGS PulseBI and Mobility.
Shannon’s initial focus will be a close assessment of PGS’s current technology architecture and infrastructure, paired with direct engagement across engineering and product teams to understand where the platform can be made faster, more resilient, and easier to build on. Those insights will help shape a technology roadmap built around scalability, security, and measurable product outcomes as PGS’s installed base continues to grow.
Shannon joins PGS with more than 30 years of experience in technology and engineering, spanning software and systems development, enterprise architecture, digital transformation, SaaS and product development, data and cloud technologies, and executive technology leadership.
Prior to joining PGS, Shannon served as Senior Vice President of Information Systems and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Vestcom, where responsibilities included technology strategy, digital transformation, product development, enterprise platforms, and technology operations. Earlier in Shannon’s career, engineering and technology roles at Dell, Dassault Aviation, and Bosch provided a strong foundation in engineering, manufacturing technology, automation, product development, and complex industrial environments.
At Vestcom, Shannon helped build and evolve the technology capabilities supporting the company’s growth from approximately $30 million to more than $500 million in annual revenue.
Shannon led the development of Vestcom’s first SaaS platform, which ultimately served more than 50 U.S. retailers, and helped lead the company’s expansion from traditional printed-media delivery into electronic shelf-edge technologies through a hardware-agnostic SaaS delivery platform.
Shannon also led major enterprise modernization initiatives, including consolidating 14 separate retailer delivery platforms into a single orchestration framework and integrating big-data technologies that reduced on-demand data-processing runtimes by as much as 94%, creating greater operational flexibility for achieving manufacturing SLAs. Shannon additionally helped lead technology M&A transition activities associated with Vestcom’s combination with Avery Dennison, including technology and organizational transition activities.
